Metal shrapnel (also known as pot slice or metal dome, snap dome) is made of ultra-thin (0.05mm-0.1mm thickness) and ultra-thick (generally high hardness) stainless steel 301 or 304. Metal shrapnel is an important part of the switch. Metal shrapnel is mainly used in film switch, contact switch, PCB board, FPC board, medical devices and other products.
Working principle of metal shrapnel: the metal shrapnel on the film button is located at the conductive part on the PCB (most of which is above the gold finger on the PCB). When pressed, the center point of the shrapnel is concave and contacts the circuit on the PCB, thus forming a circuit, and the whole product can work normally when the current passes through.
General conventional metal shrapnel can be divided into round metal shrapnel, cross metal shrapnel, triangular metal shrapnel and elliptical metal shrapnel according to their different shapes. The diameter ranges from 3mm to 20mm, and the force ranges from 100g to 600gf. Of course, if you have special requirements to make according to your drawings, there is no problem.
